This privacy policy explains how information is handled when you use “How are you at work, REALLY?”, a Career Check-In designed to help women in tech reflect on their current career situation and what may be making their next step difficult to identify.
The Career Check-In includes an optional research component. This research is used to improve the Career Check-In and the underlying Career Recalibration framework.
1. Using the Career Check-In
You can complete the Career Check-In without agreeing to have information from your Check-In included in this research.
Where research participation is offered, choosing not to participate does not affect your ability to use or complete the Career Check-In.
13. What is deliberately excluded
The research record is designed to minimise personal information.
It is not intended to include your:
first name;
email address or other contact details;
employer or company name;
exact location;
usernames or profile links; or
other identifying information that is not necessary for the research.
Where excerpts from your own wording are included, they should be limited and anonymised to remove identifying details.
4. Why this information is used
Research records may be used to:
understand recurring career experiences among people using the Career Check-In;
improve the questions, reflections and wording used in the experience;
assess and refine the Career Paralysis Patterns and related Career Recalibration framework; and
understand which career tensions and themes are emerging across completed Check-Ins.
The research record is not intended to be used to make automated employment decisions about you or to create an individual employment profile.
5. Where research information is stored
The structured research record is sent to and stored using Airtable, an external service used to organise the research data.
Only the limited research record described above is intended to be sent to Airtable through this integration, rather than the full Career Check-In conversation.
Airtable processes information according to its own privacy and data-processing practices.
6. How long research information is kept
Research records will be retained for [RETENTION PERIOD OR RETENTION APPROACH].
They may be deleted earlier when they are no longer needed for the research purposes described in this policy.
7. Your choice about research participation
Participation in the research component is optional.
Where your permission is requested, information will only be added to the research dataset in accordance with the permission you provide.
Declining research participation does not prevent you from receiving or completing your Career Check-In.
